Grüner See (Green Lake) is a lake in Styria, Austria near the town of Tragöß. The lake is surrounded by the Hochschwab mountains and forests. The name “Green Lake” originated because of its emerald green water. The clean and clear water comes from the snowmelt from the karst mountains and has a temperature of 6-8°C (42.8-46.4°F).

During the winter, the lake is only 1–2 m deep and the surrounding area is used as a county park. However, during the spring, when the temperature rises and the water melts the basin of land below the mountains fill with water.

The lake reaches its maximum depth of around 12 m from mid-May to June and is claimed to look the most beautiful at this time. In July, the water begins to recede.

Too bad it’s not actually a green lake. It’s called flooding. Because you know, a flood is so beautiful. Sometimes I wonder what goes through you humans minds. Insanity seems to come to mind.

In this particular instance, yes, this flood is beautiful. You won’t get more respect for trying to seem too cool to see the beauty in things- and what’s this about “what goes through you humans minds”? As if you’re a housecat using the computer or something.

It’s a natural, annual “flood” from snowmelt, as the article stated. So yes, it’s beautiful, and I promise you anybody living in that area is fully aware of it. You, just like myself, wonder what goes through people’s minds. However, we have reached different conclusions. You determined that it’s insanity. I’ve determined that it’s a putrid mix of ignorance and stupidity. Want to venture a guess as to why that might be?

Whats beautiful about it is how nature can adapt to everything and make it special in someway. Unlike your mind which can only adapt to what you see in TV those linking flooding with disasters. There is beauty in everything, well maybe not in you..

A natural sight is plain. Therefore, it is beautiful. It is thought that the scenery which is not is stirring only today and now here. Therefore, an inspiration springs from there.
